THE DETAILS
A single-round event usually settles one attempt or one fixed window, while a leaderboard can update as eligible results arrive. Check whether repeat attempts replace, add to or leave the earlier score unchanged.
Live rank may remain provisional until the window closes. Focus on the published scoring conditions rather than assuming a visible position is protected.
A qualification round may advance a fixed number of accounts, everyone above a threshold or selected groups from separate heats. An elimination format can remove participants after each stage.
Record the exact advancement rule and any check-in for the next round. Qualifying successfully does not help if a separate final-stage confirmation is missed.
Some events reset all points after qualification; others carry the full score or only a portion. A hybrid event can also switch from cumulative scoring to head-to-head or another final format.
